The Challenge

When Opendoor, the largest online real estate marketplace, was ready to launch its services in Atlanta, they found themselves competing for coverage in a market heavily saturated by hometown Fortune 500 corporations. Looking for media exposure, and ultimately, leads to their site, they called on PRecise. We answered with a plan to provide media with local real estate facts and position Opendoor as the industry leader in the “Direct Buyer” category. We commissioned original research from metro Atlanta homeowners about the pain points of home buying and selling. Armed with this new research, we pitched a range of trend stories to local news outlets. Each presented Opendoor as the better way to buy and sell homes.

The Impact

We generated more than 3 million media impressions, including placement on the front page of the city’s major daily, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, preceded by a story and video on its website; an influx of leads to and a measurable impact on the bottom line - all timed perfectly for peak Spring housing season.
